This has been a crazy little week in which the internet has come alive. Getting to meet so many people has been really nice and I’ve been grateful that I’ve loved each and every one of them even more in person than just their pictures and words. I wish I had taken pictures, but alas I’m still trying to find my camera charger… the above was drawn at Will Bryant’s amazing show at Land— I had a lot of fun helping him install, but by the end it was good to chill out and draw while everyone else was chatting and looking at the fun art on the walls and windows. Getting to doodle with Frank Chimero and David Huyck was also quite a bit of fun, and I hope I get to do more drawing with my friends. It’s something special.
I’ve been thinking more and more what I want to do with this space. I’m not sure Tumblr is the right option. There is a lot of thinking and making, process and experiments (in both two and three dimensions) I feel I need to start making, and so far Tumblr’s been okay but I’m not sure it works ideally for me. Maybe with the right theme it would work, but I’m on the fence. I need to be held accountable and document, sketch and share frequently— this space has been ill-used, and sometimes too newsy for its own good. (the formatting is also really not great on this one. Custom Tumblr? Hm.) Maybe I need to go back to Wordpress. Any thoughts? I’m hoping to sort this all out so that 2011 WILL be a lush time to share and make and show and tell.
