So I rattled off an idea on Twitter a little while ago and heard some positive rumblings— I want to elaborate a little and open it up to you all and hear your thoughts!

As per my last post, 2011 is the year I’ve decided I will/must screenprint like I used to. No ifs ands or buts, I miss it. The most likely option for me in the short-term is to join a local print studio until I can find the right passionate people to team up with and build a screenprint-centric community studio. The downside is cost: while $100 a month (plus supplies) isn’t astronomical, for a freelancer it’s a little tougher to swallow upfront with feast or famine schedules.  So I wondered if there might be a way to do a subscription program option- you help defray my costs of printing and I in turn will send you prints. Sort of a ‘print of the month’ club, though maybe more like a ‘print of the whenever’ club (in case freelancing swamps me). If I move into non-paper surfaces (like textiles) you might get something like that too.

So does this sound appealing at all? If you could just jot me a comment or an email, I’d love to hear from you. (especially what you think would be fair for number of prints vs. cost- maybe a tiered program?  I think regardless I’d try to make it a good bargain for anyone who buys a subscription)

Thanks everyone! And happy new year! (And note to self: Back to work!)
