A couple things in between a hectic slam advertising project:

  1. I stopped by the lovely studio of Keeganmeegan this morning for a good ol’ fashioned press check. Keen eyes will recognize a certain little lady from Wonderland getting prepped for her first letterpress print. Besides that, Katy and Keegan are ridiculously talented, very kind, and obviously love what they’re doing. I took some pictures (see above)— it’s so inspiring to get into other folks’ spaces. I can’t wait to see the end result when they work their magic on it.
  2. My friend Frank Chimero just kickstarted his first project— The Shape of Design. It’s already halfway to being funded and I’ll be real surprised if it doesn’t get there all the way— Frank is so sharp (so much so that everything he writes makes me question what I have to offer as a creative and how to develop my own voice stronger) and has so much to offer, it’d be a shame if this book never exists. So help it exist. I did!
  3. I guess I’m more closer to being a Portland transplant; I bought a ukulele. (I want a banjo-uke, but taking baby steps) I bought it for the times when I need to move my fingers but get afraid to draw, or need to process things. It’s kind of the size of my dog, and she promptly freaked out like it’s a hellish-demon when I showed it to her. I take this as a good sign.
