This year I was selected to be the poster artist for the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, one of the biggest in the country. Every year they produce a 20x30” poster to be given to the participants of the race. Thanks to the Marathon for letting me participate in a fun piece of history and work in a much bigger scale than I usually get to!

The design was 20x30”— which is more than double the size that I typically work! I wanted to evoke old travel posters and share some of the grandeur and fun of the event.

The poster printed— the photo isn’t doing it justice, but I don’t have a better setup or another pair of hands to hold it!

Close up on some of the detail. My camera is showing grain, but there’s really not much texture in this piece.
So, I received a large number of these to sign and give back to select runners, but it just so happens I have a few left over. I have four glossy 20x30” posters that I would like to giveaway to people— so all you have to do is comment here (with a valid email address) and answer the following question— if you could see my work being used for any project/company/application, what would it be? Basically I’m trying to grow my career, and while I want to do a lot of things I’m also curious where others think my work fits and where they would love to see it in the future (both as client work and self-driven projects). Housewares? Children’s books? To me the sky’s the limit, but your help will be so appreciated!
I will pick four winners on Monday, so get your comments in before the weekend’s up! (And please share/reblog/RT this giveaway, I’m hoping to get a lot of response to this question!) Hope you enjoy!
